“Worrying doesn’t take away tomorrow’s troubles. It takes away today’s peace.” – Randy Armstrong
Good day to you in whatever part of the world you’re from. It’s a pleasure to see you here on Day #95 in A Year of Positivity! I was a little surprised to come across today’s quote, though I found it in good time, because it’s absolutely perfect right now. The author of today’s quote is Randy Armstrong, and the quote goes, “Worrying doesn’t take away tomorrow’s troubles. It takes away today’s peace.”
There’s one particular area of my life that I’ve been stressing over the past few months since I went out on unpaid FMLA, though it is a very private matter, so it’s not something I’m going to discuss so openly. However, being that I’ve been stressing out about it, I find I’ve been worrying over ‘tomorrow’ instead of focusing on being in the moment of today. I’ve been having stress migraines either every day, or every other day, since I’ve returned to work because I’ve been so focused on doing better for tomorrow.
Even just this morning, I woke up yet again with another terrible migraine. Thanks to today’s quote for providing me with this much needed reminder, I can now see the error of my way on this. I’m an individual with a faith in the Christian God, so personally, I’m going to give my worries up to Him, and then make a conscious effort to just be in the moment of today, to appreciate everything and everyone that life has given me so far.
How about you? Do you also find yourself worrying about tomorrow? Are you feeling overwhelmed or stressed due to tomorrow’s worries? If so, then let today’s quote be your motto. Be in the moment of today and appreciate everyone and everything around you. I know already feel better. I think you will too.
