“Change, like healing, takes time.” – Veronica Roth, Allegiant (Book #3 of the Divergent series)
Good morning, everyone, and thank you for joining me on Day #65 in A Year of Positivity! I hope your day will be filled with warmth and peace and joy. Today’s quote is brought to you by Veronica Roth, Author of Allegiant, which is book #3 in the Divergent series.
This quote is pretty cool and definitely a true one. I have a past that needed healing in several areas, and healing took forever for some of it, and in other parts it’s still a process, but it’s progress. As for change, I used to be so impatient, and I hoped for things to change overnight. Well, I realized early on that this isn’t usually possible. Patience was never really my strong suit, though I’ve come a long way in that aspect too. Patience is something that’s required of us when it comes to healing and change because those processes are long.
Some can take months and then some can take years. That’s okay, though! Through change and through healing, we pick up a few things along the way, a few humbling life lessons that stay with us in our experiences to come. Sometimes change is involuntary, like life obstacles being thrown in front of us, which force us to take action against these obstacles to better improve our lives. Other times, change is voluntary, but only when the individual is ready for it. In either case, as long as change is on the path of peace, good health, prosperity, and joy, then don’t be afraid of it.
Welcome it with patience, open arms, and a warm smile.
